It feels so good to be in Antigua. On Friday, after only a few hours sleep, it was time to hop on a plane and fly home. I absolutely love flying. I live for the quivering feeling deep in your tummy at take off. When the question "What If..." forces itself to the front of your thoughts.  Does anyone else think that when you're flying above them, clouds look like suds in a giants bath? Come on, I can't be alone in this!

After landing, Adele, who's my big sister and I had a lunch date at EL Taco Loco. The place was pretty empty, I have no idea why. The food was great. It was affordable at about $25 EC each. Adele ordered the Chicken burger and fresh salad while I has the Mexican burger with fries doused with pepper and ketchup. We ended up sharing our burgers and both agreed that the Mexican burger was without a doubt, the winner.

We're both food lovers, she has a degree in Culinary Arts and I'm studying Nutrition and Dietetics, so when we say food's good, it's very good.  I had their Grilled Chicken meal today and once again it was pretty good! I'm definitely going to stop by again and try some thing a little more Mexican, like their Taco's the place is named after the stuff so it should be pretty decent, right?

Can you believe it's technically Christmas Eve already? What are your plans? I can't sleep just yet so I'll re-watch It's A Wonderful Life. Josean and I watched it last week for the first time and loved it! What are your favorite Christmas movies? I think mine just might be It's A Wonderful Life.

It's that time of the year again. You know, that time when it's socially acceptable to put the words "Seasons" and "Greetings" together while you stroll merrily along humming a tune, a tune that will no doubt get stuck in the head of almost everyone within hearing range! It really hits me that Christmas is coming when the geese get fat, pennies are placed into hats and the decorations are dusted off, shaken out and hung up.

Today I persuaded Alain that we absolutely, positively, without a shadow of a doubt had to go to Trincity Mall. To buy mascara, and primer. I really did need those two things and honestly we could have picked them up at a closer store, but, that store wouldn't have had a ginormous, magnificent, glorious tree dressed up in it's Christmas finery and lit up like the sky on a moonless night.

With mascara and primer secured, we trotted up to the second floor where we had the best view. Every year Trincity's decorations get me in a festive mood.  I mean they go the whole nine yards and set up the prettiest little and not so little Christmas scenes through out the entire mall. Deciding which stores have the nicest decorations is one of the most entertaining things to do.  We spent a good, long while gazing at that gorgeous tree before heading home. It's definitely Christmas time again.

When does it truly hit you that it's Christmas time again?

Happy Holidays

Eating:  M&M’s like it’s a major food group.

Drinking: Water and lots of it.

Mastering: The art of studying. Four more exams to go.

Reading: Neverwhere by Neil Giam. I’ll finish it, sometime. After exams.

Enjoying: My hair, It’s a mess of coily, curly, puffy, fizzy, tangled awesomeness. Awesome?
It’s awesome!

Listening: To The Fray. :) :)

Needing: An external hard drive (the old one crashed over summer), a phone (Mine got soaked by some mysterious vegetable juice a couple of months ago) and a tablet (my kindle suddenly became unresponsive). I feel like all my electronics have rebelled against me.

Traveling: Home on  December 20th for the holidays! I can’t wait to see everyone, spend my days in the kitchen and on the beach.

Loving: The colour on my nails! It’s Blood by Santee. I’ve been wearing it since summer. Blood is as rich, as deep and as warm as its namesake.

Accepting: That hair grows at its own pace, slowly.

Watching: Scandal, The Blacklist and the Golden Girls. Someone borrowed my flash drive and it returned with five episodes of The Blacklist. I’m Hooked!

Craving: Buss Up Shut! My boyfriend says I’m now officially a curry addict! I’ve had buss up shut at least once a week for the last month, and a half! Or has it been two months?

Cooking: Who am I kidding? I don’t cook during the semester unless it’s for a class assignment.

Wanting: The hair at the top of my head braided. I’m not sure how it will look with the small afro I’m nurturing on the sides, but YOLO, right? Or not.

Wishing: That it was Friday the 20th of December and I was clearing immigration at VC Bird International Airport.

Hoping: That I live up to the dreams and expectations of everyone that’s rooting for me.

Knowing: I am loved.

How's your life been lately?
Today was my lust day. Christmas is coming so I'm allowed to drool over some sweet pieces, right? Right?
I'm going home for the holidays and I'll be heading to the beach while there. I spent a rainy morning gazing longingly at Rhea Ahong's sophomore collection of swimwear, Summer Showers. I was pretty sure she couldn't top her debut Emblazon but she proved me wrong. Big time. You can get a head start on this years Christmas shopping by heading over to her site and checking out the line Ā-län by Rhea Ahong. Isn't the model for Summer Showers gorgeous? Her hair cut has me itching to hop into the barber's chair and have my sides re-shaved. If given the chance I would live in Splish Splash, that's a Shore Thing. So cheesy, I know!

It was hard work but I've narrowed down my four favourite pieces from this collection. Mist is one of the nicest swimsuit cover ups that I've come across. I'd spend my days in all of these, well except Heatwave, that one's a bit too Va Va Vooom for me. My lady bits would probably have a hard time staying put.

Which are you including in this years letter to Santa? It's also absolutely acceptable to get yourself one and drop it under the tree until Christmas morning. Go on, I won't tell.
